TeamReach Code: SRS-YELLOW1You understand basic rules and can keep simple score. Rallies stay short, often only one or two shots. You are still getting comfortable with the court. (LaddersA-D/ DUPR<2.5) | TeamReach Code: SRS-GREEN1You know the foundational rules and can keep score confidently. Your court positioning is improving. Your forehand and serve have some consistency. You are learning to dink but can’t yet maintain long dink rallies. Backhands may stillfeel uncomfortable. (Ladders E-J/ DUPR<3.0) |
TeamReach Code: SRS-BLUE1Your forehands, serves, returns, and volleys are more dependable. You can sustain medium-length dink exchanges. You are developing your third shot drop. Backhands are improving, though you may avoid them when under pressure. You understand the difference between soft and hard play and are learning when to use them. (Ladders K-M/ DUPR 3.5) | TeamReach Code: SRS-RED1You play with more patience and can handle longer rallies. You start reading opponents, noticing patterns, and aiming for weaknesses. You blend soft shots and power more intentionally. Your teamwork improves as you track your partner’s court position. Unforced errors still happen but are less frequent. (Ladders N-P, DUPR> 3.75) |
This is a self-rating system (SRS) where you rate yourself. If you find yourself winning (or losing) more than one-half of your games, you are likely in the wrong group and should consider moving up (or down) a level. While not required, we will be happy to supply colored tape to place around the throat of your paddle to help identify similar players visually. Once you’ve joined a TR group, type a message with your time availability and place to meet. Add notes of how you want to play, practice, or drill. Players will respond if they are interested/available. Meet at the courts and stack your paddles together in the PaddleQ. The more folks that join the group, the better opportunity to find similar players. Feel free to invite others to join the Team Reach group. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A SMASHERS MEMBER to join these TeamReach groups. If you are not keeping score (e.g., practicing skills, playing for fun), please respect other players and vacate the court after 15 minutes when others are waiting for a court. Feel free to queue up for another court to continue your play.Board members and Advisors (wearing orange wrist bands) will be happy to help answer any questions. |
