We have some fantastic news to share from our Community Outreach Program! Patti Greenberg, our dedicated coordinator, sends a huge thank you to the thirteen incredible instructors who volunteered their time and passion for pickleball at Mater Academy Davenport this past week.
Our amazing volunteers dedicated their time to introduce pickleball to students during periods 1-4 on Monday, periods 5-8 on Wednesday, and for a full day (8 am – 3 pm) on Friday. Each day, they successfully set up four nets on the volleyball court, bringing the joy of pickleball to the students.
The enthusiasm was contagious! Patti reports that the Principal and a teacher even joined in the fun and played. Coach Turner was incredibly appreciative of the program and even participated in a demo game with our instructors on Friday. Furthermore, Coach Turner showed pickleball videos to the students during class time on Thursday, building even more excitement. By Friday, the students were so eager to play that they came running out to the courts! Our instructors even received some heartwarming hugs – a true testament to the positive impact they made.
This successful outreach program relies entirely on the generosity of our volunteers. A massive thank you to the following individuals for their dedication:
